If you weren't there, we're sorry we missed you. The annual FFFaBBQ, Family Fun Fly and BBQ (pronounced FaB Q?) was a hit! Perfect weather, great attendance, delicious food, thrills, spills, and togetherness.
Special thanks to the parents of the Youth for enabling the kids to fly and learn. This year the Youth organized and executed several of the events, and everything ran so smoothly! They are our future, and it's looking bright. We love events that mix up youth and adults. Youth benefit from mentoring, and adults are reminded how much FUN the hobby can be.
Mark your calendar for September 9th! The Marymoor R/C club will be having an end of summer Swap Meet. The club will be selling a number of donated kits and airplanes including a Hangar 9 Spitfire, PT-17 Steerman, Corsair and Radian Glider. The swap meet will be open to the general public from 9am to12pm and all are welcome to bring airplanes/helis and R/C related items to sell. Swap meet will be located in the grassy area between the parking lot and the flying field. This is a great opportunity to pick up some used airplanes to add to your collection.
Reminder! Summer BBQ this Saturday

Dear Club Members,
Is there anyone out there with experience with insurance, or broker of insurance? The club could really use some of your help in a consulting role. There would not be much time involved.
This has to do with interpreting the insurance requirements in our current agreement with King County Parks, and making decisions on requirements for contracts with the contractors who will build the new storage shed and charging station for us.

Thanks!
Brian Kelly (BK1)

We only have ONE instructor signed up for tomorrow (Tuesday 5-8:00), and 15 students.
PLEASE come to training from 5-8 if you can be an instructor. Come even if you cannot be there the whole time.
Come even if you do not feel qualified to instruct, because you might be able to help in another capacity and free up someone who can instruct.
It's a very satisfying way to give back to the hobby. Remember, somebody volunteered their time to teach you!
